Job Title
Business Navigator (Bilingual)
Job Summary
The Business Navigator is responsible for leading direct engagement with clients and businesses.
CLECHA exists to ensure Latinas, Latinos and other impacted communities
understand, navigate, and conquer the oppressive systems that exist to achieve
financial equity. The position will ensure that our Small Business Services, Re-Entry
Services, and Youth Services are delivered with the highest quality and implemented
with optimal impact.
General Accountabilities
- triage new referrals
- complete phone intakes
- initial client appointment scheduling
- case development plan and client priorities
- general business information
- linkages to city departments
- linkages to external resources
- general permitting process information and referrals
- accountable for client information, files, and data
- case development plan and client priorities
- disseminating general business information to clients
- researching and creating resource linkages to city departments
- researching and creating linkages to external resources
- general permitting process information and referrals
- track client engagement grant deliverables for reporting purposes
- program and grant reporting (monthly, bi-monthly & quarterly)
- ensure timely data entry for grant management system (gms)
- ensure timely data entry for contract management system (cms)
- as assigned, the position will participate in funder communication and
relationship management for civil service officials from the state, county, city, and
private funders
- additional business navigation duties as assigned

Duties and Responsibilities
- report for in office work daily
- report to work in business casual attire daily
- attend all in person meetings with clients and other CLECHA constituents
- responsible for maintaining, organizing, and cleaning meeting/conference rooms
- offsite field work and follow up of open cases
- attend off site events where CLECHA is the producer, collaborator, or vendor
- attend assigned weekend work on a project to project basis
- use company laptop for business related work only and keep secure when not in use
- all work related communication must be completed on work issued cell phone
- submit program expenses for reimbursement on time monthly when applicable
- submit mileage expenses for reimbursement on time monthly when applicable
- submit rideshare expenses for reimbursement on time monthly when applicable
- attend assigned trainings and conferences as a representative of CLECHA
- additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in business or economic development can be beneficial.
Experience in case management, business consulting and economic development will be considered in lieu of formal education
Experience:
Several years of experience in business consulting, economic development, or a related field.
Experience working with small businesses or startups is often preferred.
Case management and case development
Skills:
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local business regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze business plans and financial statements.
Proficiency in using business software and tools.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with local and federal business assistance programs.
Understanding of market trends and economic conditions.
Knowledge of licensing, permits, and other regulatory requirements.
